Sesame Seed Sweet Laddoo Balls , A Quick Version

This simple recipe is quite delicious, if you like sesame seeds. This is usually a winter sweet in India.


250 gm. white sesame seeds or til
1/2 cup grated coconut
200 gm. sugar powder (caster sugar)
1/4 tsp. cardamom powder
1 tbs. water


1.Roast sesame seeds for 3 minutes (1 1/2+ 1 1/2) in microwave, stirring half way through.
2.Grind coarsely in the grinder. Some seeds should remain whole.
3.Roast the grated coconut in microwave for 1 minute. You may need to give it another minutes, if the aroma of coconut oil doesn’t arise.
4.Place everything in a bowl along with 1 tablespoon of water, just enough to ‘bind’ it.
5.Make into small balls (laddoos) or press it on a flat tray and cut into small diamonds.
6.Keep in the fridge for cooling.
7.Then eat it!
