Banana Raita (Yoghurt) 3 With Raisins

Ingredients

1 medium ripe banana-chopped into small pieces
1 small carton or 8 fluid oz. natural yoghurt or dahi, thick and creamy, Greek style (you can use sour cream, if calories are not a concern
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. honey. Use sweetener for diabetics.
1 tbsp. sultanas or raisins (optional)
1 tsp. cardamom powder.

Instructions

1.Soak sultanas and raisins in warm water for 10-15 minutes, until they swell up.
2.Chop bananas and soak in lemon juice to stop discolouration.
3.Beat yoghurt lightly.
4.Add all ingredients, mix and transfer to a serving bowl.
5.Serve chilled.

Notes

Yoghurt can be flavoured with ground illaichi or green cardamoms or saffron.
