It say "full cream milk" I'm not quite sure what that is so i've tried used normal pasturised milk but when heating it it does asolutly nothing! What am I doing wrong, is it the milk, what milk should i use?

Hello Technosites

Full cream milk is difficult to get these days, it used to be the old .gold top. one. I make it with blue top plastic bottled one, where cream has not been removed. Follow recipe at http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=10280 .

There are condensed milk recipes on site that use ready-made, tinned condensed milk and are very easy/quick to make. Look at the following :

You can make variations of these, by adding different ingredients like pistachio, coconut etc.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I tried the double cream recipe and made some very nice toffy flaovered concrete, a wreak kadhai and pan. What did I do wrong this time?

I am going to try the other recipes when I can get my hands on some condensed milk.

Many Thanks, this site is very good, well done!

My guess is you cooked it too long Technosites. Did you try my friend Sunaina's recipe http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=10123? I have just spoke to her on the telephone. She say that it should be cooked until it begins to come off the pan, approximately 5-7 minutes, not 10-15 minutes. I have ammended the recipe accordingly. She say that she makes this dish quite often and it always comes very well.

I will mark the recipe names depending on what they are made of, to make selection of recipe easier.
